The Sunshine Center

The Sunshine Center, a complete investigation, prevention, and intervention facility, is a vital link in the process to stop the cycle of abuse. Children are referred to us by law enforcement and/or the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

This program is supported in part by the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia, Inc. through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly.

The Sunshine Center is a Child Advocacy Center designed to:

	Comply with the State mandated Child Abuse Protocol
	Provide trained forensic interviewers to conduct videotaped child interviews
	Testify on behalf of the child in court proceedings
	Refer families to therapy services at the Georgia Child Traumatic Stress Center
	Participate in the Multi-disciplinary Team meetings and review cases
	Offer prevention and educational services to the community
